Riviera Theatre Upcoming Events
Saraph - Acoustic show: Thursday, Dec. 30: 8pm. Saraph returns to the Riviera for a special acoustic show! Immediately described as having "unbridled potential fueled by leagues of talent", Saraph is here to put ROCK back on the map. Ages 21+: Free; Under 21: $3.
Third Annual "Midnight on Main" Friday, Dec. 31, 9pm-1am. $20/person includes Hors d’oeuvres display & champaign toast at midnight. Enjoy Dancing, a special tribiut to 2010, a countdown celebration and live music by Spur Of The Moment.
Murder by Death wsg/ Hello Victor. & Their Teeth Will Be of Lions: Friday, Jan. 7, 9pm. They may call Bloomington, Indiana, home, but since their 2000 formation, Murder by Death have been a band without musical borders. Theirs is a world where Old West murder ballads mingle with rock-injected Western classicism; where an album's sequencing can take listeners from a haunted back alley in rural Mexico to a raucous Irish pub. $10 advance, $12 at the door - On sale now!
Four Lions Rated R. 102 minutes. A whip-smart laugh-out-loud comedy that illuminates the war on terror through satire and farce Four Lions, tells the story of a group of British jihadists who push their abstract dreams of glory to the breaking point. As the wheels fly off, and their competing ideologies clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging (and entirely plausible) farce. In a storm of razor-sharp verbal jousting and large-scale set pieces, Four Lions is a comic tour de force; it shows that while terrorism is about ideology, it can also be about idiots... Tuesday, Dec. 28; Wednesday, Dec. 29: 6pm Sunday, Jan. 2: 6pm Tuesday, Jan. 4 through Thursday, Jan. 6: 8:30pm. $6 Adult, $5 Child/Student/Senior.

RAT RACE
The Rat Race is our first event of the season and a fun way to get the dust off of your equipment and air out your ski legs. Held on Quad 83, an intermediate slope, the race is not about being the fastest or best skier. The object is to match the Rat’s time. The catch is that no one knows who the Rat is… Cash Pay Out to Junior and Adult Winners. Practice for an hour or so with timed runs. Wait for the Rats (Senior & Junior) to emerge from the depths of our snowmaking sewer system. Watch the Rats ski the course. Take two more runs trying to match the Rats course speed. Think that sounds easy? Well it isn’t….anyone can win!!!!!!
VERTICAL CHALLENGE
The Vertical Challenge for the Vertically Challenged! This is an all area, all included event for anyone who wants to spend some time skiing or snowboarding. Skiing or snowboarding, not taking breaks, drinking hot chocolate or hanging out on the ridge. This event is about how much vertical you can mange to obtain in the event time limit. Vertical is measured for 1.5 hours as you ski the Triple, Quad 80 or Easy Over East…or a combination of hills. It doesn’t matter where yous ski that is up to you…but don’t stop, don’t take a break.
